The Club
Tullamore R.F.C. was founded in 1937 and has gone from strength to strength, now being recognised as one of the best community based clubs in Tullamore. It has gained a reputation as a fine ambassador for Tullamore and Offaly, as noted by the Chairman of Tullamore Town Council, Lar Byrne, when hosting a Civic reception for the Tullamore 1st XV (The third time such an honour has been bestowed on the club).
Currently the Club has over 600 members, 170 youths and 70 seniors players, with 80 volunteers involved in the running of the club. The Club has recently invested heavily in upgrading the facilities such as the new D&S stand, the improvement of the pitches, the clubhouse, the changing rooms and the brand new floodlights. We are committed to the development of rugby amongst all ages and currently employ a Youth Development Officer to coach the game in local Schools and assist with the coaching of the underage teams.
Tullamore currently competes in the Leinster League Div 1, one step away from the A.I.B. All Ireland League, we finished 4th last season and 2nd in the 05/06 season. We competed in the Leinster Senior Cup and the All Ireland Cup in the past year as a result of winning The Remax Towns Cup in 2006.
The Future
Tullamore R.F.C. conducted a study into the costs associated with running a team in the A.I.L. and the impact that could have on all members of the club. It was found that the average costs of running a team at this level amount to around €100 000 per annum. It was felt that a number of clubs currently competing at this level have poor facilities, little or no youth structures and are funding their first team from general Club monies. This is not a situation, which would be compatible with our ambition of developing rugby amongst all ages and people in the community. Therefore Tullamore R.F.C. have devised a sponsorship structure to help fund the club in its target of gaining All Ireland Status. This will ensure that the day-to-day expenses of running the club can remain unaffected.
The Opportunity
Rugby is growing in popularity in Ireland and with the baby boom of recent years, allied to the growing focus of the importance of exercise, the numbers of children participating and the demands on our facilities are likely to increase. Tullamore R.F.C. is well placed to cater for this demand.
The opportunity now exists for 15 sponsors to be linked with this thriving community based club and a sport that is currently experiencing a boom. The Sponsorships are broken down into three categories, Gold, Silver and Bronze. Each sponsor will be recognised on a board placed at the entrance to the clubhouse and all sponsorships are for a three-year term. The following benefits shall also apply:
Gold
- Logo on front of Jersey.
- Logo on all headed club paper.
- Link from Clubs revamped website to Sponsors website.
- 8 international tickets for home matches.
- Table of 10 for 3 pre match lunches at competitive games in Tullamore
- Use of Club facilities for Product Launches, Christmas parties etc.
- Publicity guaranteed weekly in the match reports, and pictures in the local papers.
- Name in prime position on Sponsors Board in the clubhouse.
Silver
- Logo on one of shorts, either sleeve or back of Jersey.
- Link from Clubs revamped website to Sponsors website.
- 4 international tickets for home matches.
- 6 tickets for 3 pre match lunches at competitive games in Tullamore
- Use of Club facilities for Product Launches, Christmas parties etc.
- Publicity weekly by means of pictures in the local papers.
- Name in Secondary position on Sponsors Board in the clubhouse.
Bronze
- Link from Clubs revamped website to Sponsors website.
- 2 international tickets for home matches.
- 4 tickets for 3 pre match lunches at competitive games in Tullamore
- Use of Club facilities for Product Launches, Christmas parties etc.
- Publicity at time of agreement and selected times during the year.
- Name on Sponsors Board in the clubhouse.
