Facile win for Tullamore U 15s
Leinster U15 Cup.
Skerries 0 – Tullamore 60
Tullamore travelled to Skerries on Saturday and got their cup campaign off to a great start. From the kick off they secured the ball and from the resulting ruck flanker Dylan Martin went through the Skerries defence and scored in the first minute. It was all Tullamore after that. With eight minutes on the clock the pack won a scrum against the head, the ball was let out through the backs to winger Stephen Norton who got in for the first of his two tries. Stephen got his second try five minutes later. Michael Keogh, Liam Varley and Karl Dunne all scored tries before the break. Karl added three conversions to leave the score 36 – 0 nil to Tullamore at half time.
Tullamore continued the second half where they left off and tries were put down by Oisin Cusack 2, Michael Keogh 1 and Leonard Gavin1. Tullamore introduced fresh legs in the second half who added greatly to the game and some of them were very unlucky not to start.
This was a great squad performance and the pack played very well to secure clean ball for the backs.
